Versatile charter ship. Suitable for day trips (75 day passengers) and multi-day trips (24 hotel passengers) and / or habitation. With certification for 75 day passengers, the Oostvogel fulfills an above average capacity within the industry.
The Oostvogel has successfully chartered for years on Dutch waters in the higher segment of the market.
In 2016 the new engine was installed and the engine room underwent a complete refit, the ship has recently been at the shipyard and has the full certification for sailing on (Dutch) waters until 2024. Zone 2 in the Netherlands and Rhine crossing traffic, zone 3 and 4 within the EU. The ship is equipped for mode A1.
Three mast clipper the Oostvogel was built in 1898 as a towing clipper for the freight trade between Rotterdam and Antwerp. In 1992 the Oostvogel was restored and converted for passenger service.
The ship has a stylish day accommodation with lounge and bar for groups up to 75 people and sleeping accommodation for up to 24 people.
The skipper's quarters in the deckhouse are particularly spacious and equipped with a kitchen and private sanitary facilities.
Not only day trips, parties and celebrations, but also overnight stays are possible on board. Both below and above deck the ship offers sufficient comfort!

A larger cooling system was installed, foundation renewed / aligned, exhaust suspension adjusted, bow thruster foundation adjusted / aligned, inverter cast between engine and gearbox.
Cooling system: intercooling, bunker cooling.
Right-handed bronze 3-blade propeller: 1m. Grease lubricated stainless steel propeller shaft. Steel fuel tank with manhole of 2500 L. Red diesel. Reverse gear: Capitol. Dry exhaust with bunker cooling 45 hp Hydraulic bow thruster. Consumption: 20 liters p / h at cruising speed.
On board: 24V, 220V, 380V, shore supply. 2 x inverter, Victron 2000 and 2500. Mastervolt battery charger ('07). Stanfort generator ('01) with Mitsubishi 4DQ 50 engine. Light batteries: 8 x 120 Ah. Engine batteries: 2 x 230 Ah. Elektra in several groups.
Rigging
Gaff schooner rigging. Dacron sails: mainsail, schooner sail, mizzen sail, jib, kite, square foresail and bram.
Total 530 m 2 without square foresail. Rigging and turnbuckles: galvanized steel. Winches: 2 x leeboard winches and anchor winch.
Masts: 3 steel masts. Not strikeable. Material spars: wood. Railing: present.
