Brief history: originally built as a wooden fishing vessel. After the demise of the Zuiderzee fishery, the ship was converted to a houseboat. In the 1960s, the hull was refitted with welded steel over-seam strakes and the ship was brought back under sail with stowed mast and large cabin. Later, the hull was also ironed over and a steel foredeck added.
In the late 1990s, the ship was completely rebuilt: The wooden rafters and wooden parts of plane and hull were completely removed. The underwater hull was completely renewed in steel with concrete ballast and new steel frames were installed above water. The ship was returned to a fisherman's version with unstayed mast and a large open self-draining cockpit.
From 2003-2022 the ship was used as a charter vessel, mainly for day trips.
